My name is Jordi Beukers and I am based in Amsterdam but open for travel if need be. I graduated from the Netherlands Film Academy (NFA) in 2013 and have been working as a freelancer editor ever since. I am interested in the many facets of storytelling and imagery and fond of experimenting with them. I have worked on various documentaries, fiction films and assisted a few series. I like to take people out of their comfort zone and surprise them with new insights.
I work with various editing programs like Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightworks, DaVinci Resolve and Avid Media Composer. For compositing I use Natron & Adobe After Effects. I’m a supporter of free (libre) software so I try to incorporate as much as possible of it into my work as possible: for photo editing I use GIMP, for vector based work I use Inkscape, for drawing I use Krita and for 3D work (which I am still learning) I use Blender.
I have been teaching editing since 2013 at various film schools in the Netherlands. I am also teaching small classes from my little studio.
If you are interested in working with me on a project, please send me an e-mail trough the contact form so we can meet up for a cup of coffee.
